After completing my training as a precision mechanic and then studying mechanical engineering, I was actually prepared to work with metallic materials in the 1/100 mm range. Things turned out differently, however, and apart from a few years' break, I have now been working in the foam industry for over 20 years. I spent six of those years as head of development at L&K Schaumstoff-Technik, and since 2014 I have been managing director of L&K-Verpackungs-Technik.
For me, foam is a material with (almost) unlimited possibilities. In combination with plastic elements and films, numerous manufacturing techniques can be used to create very exciting products. Thanks to the many mechanical and thermal manufacturing techniques available in our on-site production halls, we can combine an infinite number of variations.
As a passionate product developer, L&K offers me a huge playground for implementing my ideas. I really enjoy working with the diverse people in the L&K team to achieve our technically ambitious goals.
In my free time, I enjoy riding and repairing my bikes, hiking in the area, and improving my coordination skills by regularly attending a dance school.
