How can challenges be resolved before they even become a problem in day-to-day work? Experience gained from demanding projects has sharpened Leidel & Kracht’s ability to identify technical requirements early on and to approach solutions holistically. New expertise opens up new perspectives for industrial applications—especially in areas where mobility can make our processes faster, more flexible, and more cost-effective.
From Challenge to Mobile Solution.
Technical development often begins with a specific requirement: A customer has a problem, and a suitable solution is sought. But what happens when you flip this process on its head? What if potential challenges are considered before they actually slow down day-to-day operations?
This forward-thinking approach plays a key role in projects involving sophisticated technology and provides interesting insights. The focus here is not on transferring individual products. Rather, it’s about applying experience and ways of thinking to other areas of application: Where are unnecessary trips, wait times, or dependencies occurring today? Which processes could run more efficiently in the future? Which existing technologies can be recombined to achieve this?
One starting point is stationary measurement, testing, and monitoring technology. If a sample must first be transported to a laboratory for analysis, or if a technical system must repeatedly return to a fixed infrastructure for operation, this results in travel and wait times. If, on the other hand, the necessary technology can be reliably brought to the site of operation, processes can be shortened and resources used more efficiently.
Potential application scenarios illustrate just how great this potential can be: In agriculture, a mobile power supply could keep technical systems operational longer right in the field. On construction sites, testing procedures could eventually be moved closer to the sampling location. The goal is similar in both cases: to carry out processes where they are needed, thereby saving time and costs.
Bringing existing expertise into play.
In the field of custom case manufacturing, solutions are already emerging in which case shells are adapted, internal fittings are integrated, and technical components are combined to meet specific customer requirements. This experience lays the groundwork for thinking of mobility even more strongly as part of a comprehensive technical solution in the future.
This does not mean that every component has to be developed from scratch. A particular strength lies in intelligently combining existing and proven systems and tailoring them to a specific task. Individual components are thus transformed into a new, mobile unit—protected, transportable, and tailored to its intended use.
For Leidel & Kracht, this approach means, above all, thinking beyond the individual packaging or case solution. After all, innovation always begins with the question of what challenges might arise tomorrow—and how we can prepare for them today.
