The Podcast Kit: Engaging in Conversation with Greater Ease and Expertise

Podcasts thrive on natural dialogue. Even before the first question can be asked on location, the equipment must be safely transported to the site. Microphones, cables, and other sensitive equipment must be protected and transported in an organized and as convenient a manner as possible. For Tresohr Studios in Oberhausen, we’ve developed a custom case that makes using professional podcast equipment on the go significantly easier.

When Transportation Becomes a Professional Solution

Tresohr Studios has its roots in music production and radio broadcasting and has had corporate podcasts firmly in its repertoire since 2018. The studio creates informational and entertainment formats for companies and institutions, which are often deliberately recorded on location rather than in the studio.

The “on the go” aspect places special demands on the technology. Sensitive microphones, cables, and other equipment must be transported safely. However, conventional flight cases from the touring industry proved to be heavy and unwieldy in daily use. Especially when tripods and other accessories also need to be moved, what seems like a simple transportation issue quickly becomes a matter of convenience.

This is where the specialized cases developed by Leidel & Kracht come in. Based on 3D scans of the equipment, custom-fit solutions were created that make optimal use of the available space while ensuring balanced weight distribution. Every item has its designated place, sensitive equipment is protected, and the necessary gear can be transported to the location in an organized manner.

The Technology Is Ready—The Focus Is on the Content

The added value becomes apparent, if not sooner, then certainly when the client is present. Instead of having to spend a long time setting up, organizing, and dealing with technical details, the Tresohr Studios team can quickly establish their professional work environment. The technology is ready—and the focus is on the content and creating a comfortable atmosphere for conversation.

Various productions demonstrate just how important this is for corporate podcasts. For VIVAWEST, for example, a “podcast mobile” was set up in a small trailer. At a Christmas party, employees were able to experience firsthand—and participate in—this communication format, which had previously been known mainly through the intranet.

The city of Essen’s podcast “Mit Essen spielt man nicht” has also been produced on-site for many years. Especially when recording at City Hall with tight time windows, quick setup and reliable equipment are crucial. Other mobile productions show just how versatile professional podcast technology is today—always there where interesting guests and stories come together.

From the First Flight Case to a Reliable Partnership

The collaboration between Tresohr Studios and Leidel & Kracht dates back several years. It began with a large microphone flight case from the “pioneering days” of custom case manufacturing.

That first transport solution has evolved into a reliable partnership—and the case has long since become more than just packaging: it’s a custom-tailored work solution that protects equipment, streamlines workflows, and supports a professional presentation to clients.
