Future-proof packaging thanks to smart material selection

The new EU Packaging Regulation (PPWR) will change the requirements for all packaging in Europe from 2030 onwards, with strict guidelines on recyclability, material savings, and circular economy. Leidel & Kracht is already prepared for this. By using modern foams, we already meet the standards of the future and enable sustainable packaging solutions for the highest demands.

Materials that make a difference

The PPWR defines clear guidelines for packaging design: it must be recyclable, incorporate recycled materials, conserve resources, and be clearly labeled. For many companies, this means extensive adjustments. Leidel & Kracht is ahead of the curve.

For years, we have been relying on innovative materials to meet precisely these requirements. Arplank and Ecozote® LDR from Zotefoams are particularly noteworthy. Both materials are characterized by their high recyclability, durability, and excellent protective properties. At the same time, they enable significant material savings compared to conventional solutions.

A comparison of PPWR requirements and material properties shows that
Arplank and Ecozote® LDR are already setting new technological standards within the framework of the regulation. This enables us to offer our customers packaging solutions that are not only legally compliant, but also economical, high-performance, and sustainable. We combine technical excellence with responsibility to create solutions that protect both the environment and the product.
