Focus on sustainability: Resource management at Leidel & Kracht – Janosch Bartsch
25.03.2022 - Foam Technology

New sustainability manager at Leidel & Kracht

Janosch Bartsch is responsible for both Leidel & Kracht Verpackungs-Technik GmbH and Leidel & Kracht Schaumstoff-Technik GmbH. He has a clear idea of how he wants to fulfill his role: "My goal is to implement as broad a range of sustainability issues as possible, whether it's calculating our carbon footprint, reducing our waste, or promoting awareness of sustainability both internally and externally. Sustainable resource management is a top priority within the company."

For Managing Director Rainer Arndt, filling the position was a matter of course: "On the one hand, foam plastic is an important material that our modern world cannot do without, but on the other hand, most types are based on petroleum. We therefore see it as our responsibility as a processor to use this resource conscientiously. It is about producing in an even more resource-efficient manner, saving raw materials, and promoting recycling—if possible, also using alternative foams in the future."
