From 2030, the Packaging Act will stipulate a binding minimum proportion of recycled material for plastic packaging. At Leidel & Kracht, we are already well ahead of this requirement. With clear measures, innovative projects, and our own sustainability management system, we are setting standards—voluntarily and out of conviction.
Sustainability in practice
The new Packaging Act requires manufacturers and processors to use a legally defined minimum proportion of recycled material in the future. The aim is to strengthen the circular economy and reduce dependence on primary raw materials.
"At Leidel & Kracht, we have been following this path for a long time—even without the pressure of legislation. From beehives on the company premises to compacting foam residues: sustainability has been an integral part of our corporate strategy for years," says Thorsten Rölker.
With our own sustainability manager, we are consistently driving this issue forward and developing answers to the challenges of the future.
We are also well positioned when it comes to materials. We already use a wide range of raw materials – always in strict compliance with legal requirements. At least 50 percent of our foam waste is recycled and returned to the production cycle. We are continuing to increase this figure – step by step.
For us, sustainability is not a trend, but a responsibility. Would you like to know more about how we operate? Just ask Janosch: https://www.leidel-kracht.de/de/news/neuer-nachhaltigkeitsmanager-bei-leidel-and-kracht
