Tuncer Bilgin has been part of Leidel & Kracht for seven years – now, as operations manager, he is taking on a key role in the further development of the company. With his keen sense for interfaces, critical self-reflection, and eye for the big picture, he is both a driving force and an implementer. His goal: sustainable solutions that engage employees and measurably improve processes.
Leadership with attitude and close to the action
Whether it's switching the production system from push to pull or working in a team on a daily basis, Tuncer Bilgin pursues a clear goal: actively initiating change and implementing it consistently. To do this, he deliberately leaves the office to be directly involved in production. His methodology: observe processes, listen, and identify potential for improvement. "I'm never just in the office – I want to understand what's working and what's not. That can only be achieved through dialogue at eye level," says Bilgin.
His day begins in a structured manner: with a digital checklist via SharePoint that includes both to-dos and rituals such as his first coffee. The start is well thought out – just like his work, which is characterized by high standards he sets for himself. "I regularly ask myself whether I did the right thing – also in terms of timing. Mistakes are part of the job; the important thing is to recognize them and fix them permanently."
A particular highlight of the past year was the introduction of a pull system in production. This was a milestone that required not only technical changes, but above all changes in the corporate culture. Bilgin describes the transformation as an intensive process that not everyone is immediately on board with. But that is also part of his job: understanding obstacles, questioning motives, and finding solutions together. What drives him? "I am proud to be actively involved in the development of the company," explains Bilgin. For him, working at Leidel & Kracht means working with people, taking their needs seriously, and developing solutions together—with heart, mind, and the necessary team spirit.
A team player in his private life too
Outside the company premises, he can regularly be found on the basketball court. He trains twice a week at TSV Bayer. The parallels with his work are obvious to him: "In sports, as in business, it's all about teamwork, trust, and a clear division of roles." With this attitude, Tuncer Bilgin brings professional strength, maturity, and a genuine desire for change to his new role as plant manager.
